Auto-Invite allows Augusta to automatically invite eligible applicants to book meetings after they apply.
This helps applicants move through your hiring process quickly and is one of the biggest drivers of interview booking rates.
By default, Auto-Invite is enabled when you set up your Hiring Stages.
You can manage Auto-Invite at any time if your agency needs to temporarily pause hiring activity, handle a recruiter transition, or make changes to your scheduling process.
How to Access Auto-Invite Settings
- Go to your Augusta Dashboard.
- Click the Interviews tab.
- Select the Settings sub-tab.
- Scroll to the Auto-Invite Applicants section.
Managing Auto-Invite
Within the Auto-Invite section, you can control whether eligible applicants are automatically invited to book meetings.
Depending on your Hiring Stage configuration, Auto-Invite may apply to:
- Qualified applicants
- Needs Further Review applicants
You can turn Auto-Invite ON or OFF for each applicant type individually.
Pausing Auto-Invite
If your agency needs a temporary break from automated bookings, Augusta recommends using Pause Auto-Invite instead of turning it off completely.
Common examples include:
- Recruiter vacations
- Team members are out of the office
- Recruiter transitions
- Temporary staffing changes
- Short-term hiring slowdowns
When you pause Auto-Invite, Augusta will automatically resume invitations after the selected pause period ends.
Turning Off Auto-Invite
You can completely turn off Auto-Invite if needed.
However, Augusta strongly recommends using a temporary pause whenever possible.
When Auto-Invite is turned off:
- New eligible applicants will not receive booking invitations automatically
- Recruiters must manually invite applicants from their profiles
- Existing applicants with active booking links can still schedule meetings
- Hiring speed and booking rates may decrease significantly
Because of this impact, Augusta provides several reminders and pause options before Auto-Invite is fully disabled.
Our Recommendation
For most agencies, Augusta recommends keeping Auto-Invite enabled whenever possible.
Applicants who schedule quickly are more likely to:
- Stay engaged
- Show up to meetings
- Move forward in the hiring process
- Get hired
If your agency only needs a temporary break, use the Pause option instead of turning Auto-Invite off completely.
