If applicants are trying to book a screening or interview but no times are available, there are usually a few common causes.
This may also appear as an alert in your Augusta dashboard if we detect that recent applicants have been unable to book.
The good news: these issues are usually quick to identify and fix.
Note: Augusta may flag this based on recent booking attempts. After making changes, it can take time for new booking activity to reflect in your dashboard insights.

1. Check That Automated Meeting Booking Is Turned On
Start by confirming that automated booking is active for the hiring stage you're reviewing.
Your team may have:
- Paused automated bookings
- Turned off meeting invitations
- Temporarily disabled a screening or interview stage
If automated booking is paused, qualified applicants may not be able to access the booking page.

2. Confirm Your Calendar Is Connected
Augusta checks your connected calendar before showing meeting availability to applicants.
If your calendar is disconnected, candidates may be unable to book.
Your availability can also be reduced when your connected calendar contains events marked as Busy, such as:
- Internal meetings
- Lunch blocks
- Out-of-office time
- Training
- Vacation
- Other appointments
Review your connected calendar and make sure Augusta has access to the calendars you want checked for conflicts.

Using Calendly?
If your Augusta account still uses Calendly for automated booking, confirm that your calendar is properly connected inside Calendly.

3. Review Your Meeting Availability
If your scheduler is active and your calendar is connected, the next thing to check is availability.
Candidates may simply not be seeing enough times that work for them.
Look for things such as:
- Very limited interviewing hours
- Availability only on certain days
- Long meeting durations
- Large buffer times
- Too many existing calendar conflicts
- Not enough meeting slots to support your applicant volume
If qualified applicants are ready to book, giving them more options helps you connect with them faster before they move on to another opportunity.

In Summary
If applicants can't book a screening or interview, check these three things first:
- Is automated booking turned on?
- Is your calendar connected and free of unnecessary conflicts?
- Do applicants have enough meeting availability to choose from?
In most cases, one of these settings is causing the issue.
If everything looks correct and applicants still cannot book, please contact hello@augusta.care and our team can help review your setup.
