Round Robin Interviewing automatically rotates meeting bookings between multiple interviewers based on each person's connected calendar and availability.
Instead of one recruiter handling every meeting, Augusta distributes bookings across your interview team—helping balance workloads while still allowing applicants to book the earliest available meeting.
This works for any hiring stage in Augusta, including:
- Screening
- Interviews
- Orientation
How It Works
Once multiple interviewers are assigned to the same hiring stage, Augusta will automatically select an available interviewer based on:
- Their connected calendar
- Their availability
- Round Robin rotation
Each interviewer only sees meetings assigned to them, making it easy to share recruiting responsibilities across your team.
Step 1: Assign Interviewers to Your Hiring Stage
Open the hiring stage where you'd like to use Round Robin (Screening, Interview, or Orientation).
Under Interview Assignment, assign multiple interviewers to that hiring stage.
Examples:
- Multiple recruiters conducting interviews
- A dedicated screening team
- HR team members handling orientations
Note: Only users assigned the Interviewer role in Manage Users can be assigned to hiring stages.

Step 2: Have Each Interviewer Complete Their Setup
Each interviewer should:
- Connect their Google or Outlook calendar
- Configure their meeting availability
- Connect their preferred video meeting platform (if applicable)
Each person's availability only affects their own schedule.

Step 3: Choose How Each Interviewer Participates
Each interviewer can choose how they participate in your agency's recruiting workflow.
For example, an interviewer can:
- Participate in Round Robin scheduling to automatically receive meeting bookings.
-
Opt out of Round Robin if they should only receive interviews through manual assignment (such as a backup recruiter, HR manager, or temporary support).
-
Be designated as a Priority Interviewer, allowing Augusta to fill their calendar first before distributing bookings to the rest of the Round Robin team.
This gives your agency flexibility to balance workloads while still prioritizing key recruiters when appropriate.

Best Practices
Round Robin works best when:
- Each interviewer keeps their connected calendar up to date.
- Meeting availability reflects when they are actually available.
- Interview responsibilities are clearly assigned by hiring stage.
- Recruiters block personal meetings, lunches, and other busy times on their connected calendar so Augusta only offers real availability.
- Use a Priority Interviewer if you want one recruiter to receive bookings first before Augusta distributes meetings across the rest of your team.
- Use manual interview reassignment whenever someone becomes unavailable, or your team needs to temporarily shift interview responsibilities without asking applicants to reschedule.
