If you find yourself frequently overriding applicant statuses, this is a strong signal that your screening criteria need to be adjusted.

Common signs:

• You’re moving Disqualified → Qualified
• You’re reviewing lots of “Further Review” candidates you could have auto-qualified
• You’re rejecting candidates late in your funnel that should’ve been filtered earlier

How to Override a Status

You can update any applicant’s status at any time:

• Open the candidate’s profile
• Change their status (e.g., Disqualified → Qualified)

What Happens When You Change a Status

When you move a candidate to:

• Qualified
• Needs Further Review

Augusta may automatically:

• Send an interview invite
• Add them to your ATS

This depends on your account settings.

💡 Example: Some accounts only invite Qualified candidates, others include Further Review.

No Duplicates

If a candidate has already been invited or added to your ATS, Augusta will not send anything twice.

Quick Tip

If you just want to move someone forward quickly:

👉 Click “Invite to Interview” from their profile instead of changing their status
