Augusta allows you to prevent certain applicants from booking interviews again — based on the status you assign.
This helps ensure your team only spends time on candidates who are a good fit.
How It Works
When you manually set an applicant’s status to:
- Rejected
- Not Qualified
- Duplicate
Augusta will prevent that applicant from booking interviews in the future.
💡 You control this — Augusta only blocks applicants when your team assigns these statuses. We compare the candidates email and phone number.
What Happens Next
- The applicant can still apply again
- However, they will not be able to book an interview
-
This applies to future applications during the blocking period
- Note: For multi-location accounts, candidates marked as Rejected will not be able to book interviews across any of your Augusta instances/locations.
Blocking Timeframes
Each status blocks interview booking for a set period:
| Status | Time Blocked |
|---|---|
| Duplicate | 6 months |
| Not Qualified | 6 months |
| Rejected | 3 years |
The timeframe starts from the most recent time the status was applied.
Important Notes
- Applicants are only blocked if a team member manually assigns the status
-
Augusta will apply the same restriction to future applications during the blocking period
- We compare the applicants' email and phone numbers to their previous application.
- These statuses are not automatically applied by Augusta for blocking purposes — your team controls this
When to Use These Statuses
Use these statuses when you are confident you do not want to interview a candidate again.
- Duplicate → Same applicant applied multiple times
- Not Qualified → Does not meet your requirements
- Rejected → Not a fit after review or interview
