It's one of the most common questions we hear:
"I searched for my caregiver job on Indeed, but I can't find it. Is something broken?"
In most cases, no. Not seeing your own job in Indeed search results does not necessarily mean your job is offline or unavailable to job seekers.
Indeed's search results are dynamic and can change based on many factors, including:
- Job age and freshness
- Market demand and competition
- Seasonal hiring trends
- Sponsored job budget
- Individual job seeker behavior
Because of this, it's completely normal for a live job to appear differently in search results over time.
Avoid Searching for Your Own Job
Searching for your own job is not a reliable way to verify that it's live.
Indeed personalizes search results based on each user's activity. If you repeatedly search for your own job without clicking on it, Indeed may begin showing other jobs instead.
Instead of searching as an applicant, verify your job directly from your Indeed Employer account.
The Best Way to Check Your Job
- Sign in to your Indeed Employer Account.
- Open the Jobs tab.
- Locate your job posting.
-
Select the ⋮ menu.
- Click View Public Job Page.
If the public job page opens, your job is live.
If Your Job Isn't Receiving Applicants
Applicant volume naturally fluctuates from day to day.
A slower day—or even several slower days—does not necessarily indicate a problem with your job posting. We recommend evaluating recruiting performance over weeks and months rather than individual days.
If your job is live but applicant volume has declined, consider reviewing:
- Your sponsorship budget
- Market competition
- Job title and compensation
- Seasonal hiring trends
Don't Repost Jobs to "Refresh" Them
Closing and recreating jobs may occasionally appear to improve visibility in the short term, but it should not be used as a regular strategy.
Frequent reposting can conflict with Indeed's job posting policies and may reduce visibility over time.
Instead, keep jobs active unless there has been a legitimate change to the position, such as updated pay, responsibilities, or hiring location.
When Should I Contact Augusta?
Reach out to our team if:
- Your job is no longer visible in your Indeed Employer account.
- Your job has been flagged or closed unexpectedly.
- You believe there may be an issue with your Augusta and Indeed integration.
If your job is visible in your Indeed Employer account but simply doesn't appear when you search for it as a job seeker, your job is likely working as intended.
