Augusta automatically sends meeting reminders to applicants after they book a meeting through Augusta — so you don’t have to.
This applies to all Hiring Stages enabled in your account, including:
- Screenings
- Interviews
- Orientations
These reminders help reduce no-shows and keep applicants informed, leading up to their scheduled meeting.
What Applicants Receive
Once an interview is booked, Augusta sends reminders via text and email at the following times:
- 2 days before the interview
- 24 hours before the interview
- 1 hour before the interview
- 5 minutes before the interview (for phone or virtual interviews)
These reminders ensure applicants have all the details they need and stay on track.

Instead, we recommend using your time to:
- Call applicants before their meeting
- Confirming their interest and availability
- Verifying key details (experience, schedule, location)
- Reinforcing why your agency is a strong fit
If an applicant applied to your agency, they likely applied to others as well. A quick phone call can make a major difference in whether they show up — and whether they choose your agency.
Using This Time Effectively
Before the meeting, use your call to decide:
- Move forward: Keep the meeting scheduled
- Reschedule or cancel: If the timing or fit isn’t right
- Future fit: Add them to your Candidate Pool if you can’t hire them right now
Customizing Reminder Content
While the timing and structure of reminders are fixed, you can customize part of the message through your meeting description inside your Hiring Stage settings.
This allows you to include:
- What the applicant should bring
- Where to go (for in-person interviews)
- Who they will meet
- Any preparation instructions
